Device Troubleshooting

Power On/Off

  • Turn On: Press the function button once. A single beep confirms it’s powered on.
  • Turn Off: Hold the function button for 3 seconds. Two beeps indicate it’s powered off.

Check for Updates

Ensure your iPhone, iPad, or Mac is running the latest iOS, iPadOS, or macOS for the best experience with the Find My app.

Setting Up Your LostProof Device

1. Open the Find My App

  • On your iPhone or iPad, open the Find My app.
  • Allow notifications when prompted.

2. Connect Your Device

  • Power on your Device.
  • In the Find My app, go to the Items tab.
  • Tap Add Item > Other Supported Items.
  • Once detected, tap Connect.
  • Choose a name and emoji, then tap Continue.
  • Confirm adding your Device to your Apple ID.
  • Tap Finish. Your Device is now ready to track your valuables.

Finding Your Device

When Nearby

  • Open the Find My app and go to Items.
  • Select your Device.
  • Tap Play Sound to locate it.
  • Tap Stop Sound once found.

Last Known Location

  • In Find My, select your Device.
  • View its last known location on the map.
  • Tap Directions to navigate to it.

Tracking When Out of Range

Enable Notifications

  • Notify When Left Behind: Get an alert when you move away from your LostProof Device.
  • Notify When Found: Receive a notification when another Find My device detects it.

Lost Mode

Activate Lost Mode

  • Open Find My and select your Device.
  • Under Lost Mode, tap Enable > Continue.
  • Enter your phone number or email.
  • Optionally, add a message for anyone who finds it.
  • Tap Activate.

Resetting Your CardPass

Remove from Find My

  • Open Find My, go to Items, and select your Device.
  • Ensure Lost Mode is disabled.
  • Scroll down and tap Remove Item > Confirm.

Factory Reset

  • After removal, press the function button four times quickly.
  • On the fifth press, hold until you hear a chime.
  • Your Device is now reset and ready to pair again.

Unwanted Tracking Detection

  • If an unknown Device is traveling with you, your iPhone will alert you.
  • If the tracker is not connected to its owner’s phone, it will play a sound to help locate it.

Compliance & Safety

This device complies with FCC Part 15 regulations:

  1. It must not cause harmful interference.
  2. It must accept any interference received.

If interference occurs:

  • Reposition the receiving antenna.
  • Increase distance between the device and receiver.
  • Use a different power outlet.

If the connection is unsuccessful under specific circumstances, please restart the device and attempt to reconnect.

To activate CardTrack / CardPass, press and hold the power button firmly once. Upon hearing a sound, the device will power on and automatically enter pairing mode. To power off CardTrack / CardPass, press and hold the power button firmly for five seconds. A double beep will confirm the device has been successfully turned off.

CardTrack / CardPass operates for approximately six months on a single charge, depending on use. To recharge, align the charging symbol on the back of CardTrack / CardPass with the centre of your CardCharge Wireless Charger. Ensuring the LostProof Logo is Face Up. A red light in the top-right corner will indicate the device is charging. When fully charged, the light will change from red to blue.
